If you still have some room for additional trips this summer, we highly suggest checking out these exotic places on the other side of the world. Scattered all around Asia are these breathtaking destinations not many frequent (perfect if you want peace and quiet!) but which will definitely make for an adventure that’s one for the books.
Don’t worry about your budget, because you can actually visit these places without shelling out a fortune: There are exciting discounts available for these via Piggy. Topnotch travel booking sites, airlines, hotels, and resorts are among their thousands of partners so you’re sure that the trip will be of great value even on a budget.
You just have to visit…
1. Myanmar’s Nabule Beach
This untouched beach has lovely golden sands, and granite boulders that make the beach look even more spectacular. It can be quite challenging to get here as the roads are bumpy, but the trip will definitely be worth it. Don’t miss checking out the hillside pagoda!
How to get there: Fly to Yangon International Airport, then get by bus to the city of Dawei. You may also get by bus from Thailand to Dawei.
Travel treat awaits: Smart Fares’ Big Bonanza First Class Travel Sale: Save Up to $100 Off, plus $5.0 cash back.
2. Bali’s Green Bowl Beach
It’s a steep descent and climb to get to this secluded beach, but hardcore adventurers would love the entire experience. Surfers will also feel right at home here with its uncrowded waves. Two limestone caves serve as additional beautiful backdrops for those travel photos.
How to get there: From Jimbaran in Bali, you can drive to Uluwatu temple. Then, take a straight lane toward the intersection of Uluwatu and Dreamland Beaches. Having arrived at the intersection, take the left toward the beach. You will find a parking lot. From the parking lot, you can then simply follow the track toward the beach.
Travel treat awaits: Lookupfare’s $30 off travels this summer, with $6.0 cash back.
3. Malaysia’s Perhentian Kecil and Perhentian Besaras
These twin islands boast of crystal clear waters where you can swim with turtles and fish, and white sandy beaches ideal for just lounging around reflecting on life or sunbathing. There are also kid-friendly beaches for your little ones.
How to get there: Transit at Kuala Lumpur to either Kuala Terengganu or Kota Bharu (45 minutes), take either a bus or taxi to Kuala Besut jetty. It will take 1½ hours from Kuala Terengganu airport or one hour from Kota Bharu airport.
Travel treat awaits: Intrepid Travel’s 10% off all Asia Trips, plus 2.0% cash back.
4. Cambodia’s 4 Rivers Floating Lodge in Koh Kong Island
Go glamping with your friends or your beau at their beautiful floating lodges for a different travel experience. Koh Kong is Cambodia’s largest island, but this specific resort, with its proximity to unspoilt beaches, has an intimate feel that would make it hard for you to leave.
How to get there: Fly to Bangkok or Pattaya, then head over to Trad, then to Thai Cambodian border Ban Had Lek, the entrance to Koh Kong Province. Or, fly to Phnom Penh and head over to the pier in Ta Tai.
Travel treat awaits: Contiki’s 10% off all Asia Trips, plus 3.0% cash back.
5. The Philippines’ San Vicente, Palawan
El Nido is the popular choice among tourists, but it is in San Vicente where you will find the longest white sand beach in the Philippines. And since it is still not as popular as El Nido, you’ll get to truly enjoy quiet time here.
How to get there: If you also decided to check out El Nido and will be coming from there, take a bus to the Roxas City Bus Terminal in Roxas City, along the national road. That’s a 2-3 hour ride, and then another approximately two-hour bus ride to San Vicente Poblacion.
Travel treat awaits: Cheapflightnow’s Worldwide Airfare Sale: Save $15 Off Flights, plus $8.0 cash back.
Bright, sunshiney days are here and it would be such a shame not to make the most of them (and don’t worry, it’s mostly sunny in the aforementioned spots, no four seasons). Head over to any of these destinations in Asia for a truly memorable summer 2017— and one your wallet will thank you for as well.
